What is dementia?

Dementia is a range of symptoms and is not a disease. Symptoms of dementia include:

  • Memory loss
  • Inability to communicate
  • Poor attention span
  • Loss of reasoning skills and judgement
  • Visual impaired

When one's memory  or ability to think is compromised enough to limit a person's ability to perform daily activities, that person may have dementia symptoms.

Symptoms of dementia can gradually get worse so contact your doctor immediately. There may be some preventative treatments.
